Inshore:
Spring finally arrived as April arrived on the Treasure Coast. March was really a cold and windy month. We will still get winds in April, but it should be somewhat milder conditions. It's nice to have warm weather again and maybe I can finally put all the winter clothes away for this year. Enjoy the good fishing this month!
It's been a busy week or two out there. Lots of old friends back in town and meeting some new clients as well. Jack and Connor were back this year. Lots of sheepshead on the catch list! Ron and Mike were out with me on a windy day that found pompano, sheepshead, snapper and drum biting for us. Will and Jean were out several times with me and it was a long list of fish that they caught no matter what the weather threw at them. Francis and Faith were back down and found sheepshead to be the best bite of the day. Chris, Chuck and Amelia were out on a nice morning that found croakers, sheepshead, grouper and sand perch among the many fish that they caught. Patrick, Sean, Braedon and Brooklyn were out with me and the kids had a blast catching lots of fish that included two snook the round out a good day on the water. Don and grandson, Eli, had an awesome day catching some big croakers. Eli decided the moon fish he caught was his favorite. It was a fun and exciting week on the water!
There has been a good variety of fish to target. I have had lots of kids on the boat lately and seeing their smiles just makes your day. Dock fishing has improved as the winds let up enough to fish them. Lots of jacks around the river are a favorite of the kids. Have fun and enjoy the fishing in April!
As always, remember, fishing is not just another hobby....it's an ADVENTURE!!
Good Fishing and Be Safe,
