South Indian River Fishing Report 12/19

Inshore:

That first cold front has finally left the area and things look fantastic through the rest of 2017! In spite of a little cooler weather, it has been a mild winter so far. The water temperatures will be rising with the nice weather ahead. It had dropped into the low sixties for a few days, but things are warming up again. Fishing has been awesome on the river this month.

Steve and Bob were back again to enjoy the fishing and we weren't disappointed. Steve landed three nice slot redfish to top off the morning and the guys caught lots of nice sheepshead to finish off the day. Don, Art and Mick were back to fish and had two boats of anglers to enjoy the weather and fishing. Sheepshead were the fish of the day in the cooler water and they were all nice sized fish. They had a fish dinner planned and had plenty to go around. Doug and Ernie were out with me for the first time. Again sheepshead were on the catch list. They did catch one redfish and lots of snapper to make for a fun day. It was another fun week on the river!

As we come to the end of 2017, I want to thank everyone who was out fishing with me over the past year. Thanks to everyone who has been supportive of my career and helped me be successful over the years. It has been another wonderful year full of seeing old friends and making lots of new ones. It's hard to believe that fifteen years has flown by already. I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year! May 2018 be an awesome year for you all!

Remember, fishing is not just another hobby....it's an ADVENTURE!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
